The Three Most Interesting Games for the Titans in 2016

John Morgan has a bachelor of business administration from Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition to his love for TCU athletic teams, John Morgan is an avid fan of the Tennessee Titans.

Coming off a 3-13 season and last place finish in the AFC South, the Tennessee Titans hope to build off the foundation of the franchise quarterback, Marcus Mariota, and bounce back with a better showing in 2016. Looking at the team's schedule, three specific matchups stand out from the others.

Houston Texans – Oct. 2

Week 4 presents the first divisional matchup for the Titans against the Texans, who took the AFC South with a 9-7 record. With Brock Osweiler now behind center and a healthy J.J. Watt, the Texans are among the favorites to take the division again this year. The first clash of the year between these two teams should serve as a barometer for the Titans' overall prospects for the year.

Green Bay Packers – Nov. 13

This is the marquee non-conference matchup for the Titans. This Week 10 showdown against Aaron Rodgers and company could prove tumultuous for the Titans, especially with Rodgers looking to erase the ghosts of a mediocre 2015 statistical campaign and prove he still belongs in elite quarterback conversations.

Denver Broncos – Dec. 11

A late-season contest against the defending Super Bowl champions usually does not bode well for a franchise trying to rebuild itself. These are not last year's Broncos, though. Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset, and Brock Osweiler headed to greener pastures in Houston. The fluid quarterback situation in Denver could lead to some offensive struggles for the team, which puts the Titans in a position to come out ahead in this contest.
